Abstract

This study aims to determine the tourist attraction and perceptions of visitors on the new tourists’ destination called Negeri di atas Awan (the country above the clouds) located in Citorek Kidul Village, Lebak Banten, Indonesia. This tourist destination was viral in September 2019 was briefly used by several citizens, because Lebak Banten has never been heard of having a tourist destination. The area is 900 meters above sea level. This research method is qualitative with a case study approach. By using this type of case study research, this study intends to provide a description of the Tourism Attraction and Perceptions in Citorek Kidul Lebak Village, Banten, which is being viral on social media. The study was conducted in the Citorek Kidul Lebak Village, Banten, which is known for its country tourism on clouds. The results of this study are the tourist attraction of "Negeri di Atas Awan" which is a view of the clouds formed by the cold weather in Citorek Village. This view can only be enjoyed at 05.00 - 08.00 WIB. Public facilities at the tourist site "Negeri di Atas Awan" are complete, the manager is Pokdarwis and residents who have a business together to build this location with public facilities, such as: toilets, parking, small mosque, ticket purchase counters, homestays, and restaurants. The results of the visitor's perception of the study expressed satisfaction, because news that was released through social media turned out to be true.

Abstract

This article describes a feasibility study for a hotel development in Pasuruan, East Java. The potential city of Pasuruan has begun to develop as a trade, government and service area and the construction of this hotel is expected to increase local revenue (PAD) as well as both contributing to the economy of the local community and providing benefits to the investors. The research uses qualitative method and data gathered by both interview and data collecting. The variable of this research is business feasibility and the analysis unit is Hotel X. From the research analysis, it was found that development hotel in Pasuruan is feasible and can be continued.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are (1) to identify and evaluate internal and external factors, (2) to formulate strategy toward tourism village in Gempol village. Based on analysis result, Internal factor’s strength is the beauty and conservation of nature are the most significant influence on the development of tourism village. The most important weakness of Gempol village is not ready to receive the tourists, since the lack inadequate facilities.. External factor’s opportunity is the value of the people who always maintain and preserve traditional cultural. The most important threat is competition with others regions in the development of tourism village. The strategy taken is to maintain the harmony of nature and culture of the village. The need for a strong commitment from the entire village community. Promote village community training, including village government on tourism management, how to manage tourist attractions, guest or visitor management. Use all media to introduce and publicize tourism potential in the village both conventional and unconventional media, such as the internet media.

Abstract

Hotel is a labor-intensive industry which until now still requires a lot of human resources in its work operations. The nature of hotel is open for 24 hours to serve guests, especially in operational departments. Overall hotel employees tend not to last long at work. Some employees state that their decision to leave, due to incompatibility with the work environment. This study aimed to analyze the impact of resilience on hotel employees’ engagement in Jakarta. The study was conducted with a quantitative descriptive approach. Research respondents were hotel employees in Jakarta area. Data was collected by convenience sampling, by distributing questionnaire which consisted of respondents’ profiles and statement of variable X variable (resilience) and Y variable (work engagement). The data was analyzed by using validity and reliability test, descriptive (frequency and mean), Pearson correlation, coefficient determination and simple linear regression test. The study found that there was a strong relationship between resilience and work engagement. The higher employees’ resilience is the higher employee engagement will be.

Abstract

Social Media has a big influence in tourism industry, social media also played as a role in tourism marketing, It has a major effectiveness as a marketing tool and performs with multiple functions. The purpose of this study to discussing the importance of social media when choosing a holiday destinations for the millennial traveler. This paper was conducted in January - April 2020 using descriptive quantitative research methods. The data collection technique of this research is survey analysis. Primary data is collected by questionnaire. There were 72 questionnaires have been distributed according the number of active students at second semester from tourism study in Vocational Education Program, University of Indonesia academic year 2019/2020. After the questionnaires were completed, SPSS 25 version is used to analyze the data. According to the result of this study, social media has a big influences when choosing the holiday destination. Instagram and YouTube are the most important media social platform to get the information and building the trust about the tourism destination.

Abstract

This study is aimed at finding out the impacts of beauty bloggers’ online review in encouraging women’ interest to carry on shopping tours on cosmetic products in Jakarta. The study uses descriptive method by administering a questionnaire to 100 women respondents who carry on shopping tours on cosmetic products in Jakarta. The findings show that that beauty bloggers’ online review possesses a strong relationship as many as 0,682 towards the shopping tour interest of cosmetic products in Jakarta which as many as 46,5%. Beauty bloggers share information and recommendations based on their own experiences by using blog with the contents in the forms of captions, photos, and videos about a certain cosmetic product so that it encourages shopping tours on cosmetic products. Therefore, in the present study, H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, in which t count is 9,235 > t table 1,984. Thus, it can be concluded that the impacts of beauty blogger’ online review towards the shopping tour interest on cosmetic product in Jakarta indeed existed.

Abstract

This study discusses the factors that influence French tourists to visit Bali. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research data was obtained by observing, documenting and interviewing 48 French tourists who used the services of a travel agent during their vacation in Bali in 2019. To test the validity of the data, researchers used triangulation of techniques and sources. Then data analysis through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data display and drawing conclusions. Based on the results of research that has been conducted, it is found that there are 10 (ten) factors that influence French tourists to visit Bali; those are: (1) the beauty of the nature, (2) the hospitality of the Balinese people, (3) the rich history, local culture and traditions, (4) the competitive prices, (5) beaches and activities, (6) the traditional cuisine of Bali, (7) the convenience during vacation, (8) meditation and yoga facilities, (9) the availability of Francophone guide, and (10) the existence of Francophone community. The results of this study are expected to provide a strategic plan map for the development of tourism especially in Bali and in Indonesia in general.
